Collegiate Challenge

Spring break is approaching very soon and Collegiate Challenge will be heading down to Florida for a week-long volunteer trip.
Collegiate Challenge is an alternative Spring Break trip where a group of about 20 students travel to another Habitat affiliate to spend the week working with them. Next week, we will heading down to Fort Lauderdale, FL to work with Habitat for Humanity of Broward. Emily Fisher, our travel coordinator, will be leading the charge on the trip.
I, the webmaster, was on the trip last year at Clearwater, FL for Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County and it was an amazing experience. Meeting new people and endless hours on the beaches were not only some great aspects of the trip, but to see all our hard work being done on the house that one day be very impactful to a family, made it a worthwhile Spring Break. It was a tough 7 days of grinding though. We were the first school to be at the site and we had to construct all the trusses. It took a lot of effort, but we defnitely made a large impact.
Follow us on Twitter @umichHabitat to get updates and photos on everything we will be doing on our our trip. When we come back from Spring Break, CORE will be on full swing with our Hab It Your Way! Variety Show, so we hope you are looking forward to that. We hope everyone has a fun and safe Spring Break. Go Blue! Go Build!
